Who we are

TNB LINKS (tnblinks.com) connects people, businesses and opportunities across Ghana and beyond. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and apply GDPR-level principles for all members.

What we collect

  • Account details — your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Profile information you choose to add — photo, headline, location, WhatsApp number, skills, work history, education, certifications and portfolio. Your profile is public directory information; add only what you are happy to share.
  • Content you publish — listings, posts, comments, reviews, groups and events, which are public by design.
  • Messages — direct messages are stored so both participants can read the conversation. They are not public.
  • Usage information — standard analytics (pages visited, device type) via Google Analytics, and profile view counts shown to profile owners.

Where your data lives

TNB LINKS runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting), Cloudinary (photos and videos you upload) and Google Gemini (the TNB AI assistant and optional AI writing helpers). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy certifications. We never sell your personal data.

Your email is never public

Your email address is stored privately and is visible only to you. It never appears on your public profile. Your WhatsApp number appears only if you choose to add it, and only behind the contact buttons you control.

Your rights

  • Access & correction — everything on your profile is editable any time from My Account.
  • Deletion — you can permanently delete your account and the content you created from My Account → Delete account. Messages you sent remain visible to the people you sent them to (like SMS or WhatsApp), and copies may persist in backups for a short period.
  • Complaints — you may also lodge a complaint with the Ghana Data Protection Commission.
